Blackpine Basin / Friday morning
North Timber was groomed before sunrise. Wind has stripped the open face on Meadow Line, and Ridge Spur still needs a fresh set of tracks before we can call it.
Read the timestamp as closely as the status. Wind, traffic, and sun can change a route within hours.
Surface: Firm corduroy from Timber Gate to Owl Junction. Twelve-inch settled base with two inches of dry snow overnight.
Thin cover remains on the sunny approach at mile 19. Stay centered and slow before the cattle guard.
Surface: Wind moved snow off the west face and built hard drifts along the eastern marker line.
Flat light is expected after noon. Hold the marked line and do not cut across the basin when visibility drops.
Surface: Choppy approaches and mixed cover for 200 yards on both sides of Alder Bridge.
Stay off the soft shoulder and give uphill riders room to clear the narrow section first.
Status: The last report is too old to support a current condition call. Treat the route as unreported.
Check the morning weather and snow bulletin, then choose another route if the ridge has not been reported.
